Kenyan Local Support

Distribution Day

Distribution Day

The Kenyan Imani Project is a government-recognized community-based nonprofit organization in Kenya. The area it serves is in a rural region of Eastern Kenya, near the confluence of the Sabaki River and the Indian Ocean. We have two site directors who keep the project operating and provide goods and services throughout the year to meet the needs of the children and families we serve. We have an office in Misufini Village where the distributions and meetings are held. It serves as the headquarters for the Imani Project in Kenya.
In addition, four Rotary Club members have volunteered to help with the distributions and to act as an oversight board.

Merab Shibuyanga Rotary Club

Merab Shibuyanga – Malindi Rotary Club Past President

Rotary Club of Malindi, Kenya

The Rotary Club of will provide invaluable assistance in several key areas:

• Identifying appropriate, nutritionist approved food items for distribution.

• Negotiating to secure the lowest prices from vendors.

• Assisting with the purchasing of these items.

• Overseeing the direct distribution of food to Imani Project families.

Working to make our sponsor’s dollars go further, the Rotary Club team will obtain quotes from various vendors before making food, grain and seed purchases and will provide comprehensive reporting and receipts directly to The Imani Project Board of Directors.

We believe this partnership will be mutually beneficial, combining The Imani Project’s dedication to our families with the Rotary Club’s extensive experience and resources.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Rotary Club of Malindi for their support and their willingness to leverage their years of community leadership and experience as we work together to better serve our recipient families.
